Albania has applied the Hague Apostille Convention since May 9, 2004. Public documents from other Convention countries – civil-status certificates, diplomas, police certificates, notarial deeds, court decisions and company documents – are accepted in Albania with an apostille from the issuing country, unless an Article 12 objection is in force between the two states. No embassy or consular step is required.

Typical requests for Albania concern family and property matters. Authorities in Albania generally expect documents in Albanian; where a document is not bilingual, we add a sworn translation, and for several countries the translator’s signature is apostilled as well. Albanian registries and notaries accept apostilled foreign documents; translations into Albanian are usually certified by an Albanian notary or consulate.

Notaryzer handles it end to end: the notary reviews your application, we organise the apostille or legalisation in the issuing country, arrange the translation and ship the result to you or directly to the recipient in Albania.
