Cookie policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) notaryzer.com uses, why, and how you control them. It supplements our privacy policy. The legal basis for technically necessary storage is § 25(2) TDDDG; for everything else your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

2. Necessary (no consent required)

nz_consent – cookie and local storage; stores your cookie choice; 180 days.

NEXT_LOCALE – cookie set when you switch the site language so the next visit opens in that language; 1 year.

nz_wizard_v1, nz_upload_token – session storage in your browser; keeps the draft of your request while you fill in the form; deleted when the tab closes.

nz_session – cookie for the staff panel only (login session); not set for visitors; 12 hours.

3. Functional (with consent)

Remembering the last destination country or document you selected in the apostille checker. Stored locally in your browser for up to 180 days. No data is sent to third parties.

4. Statistics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to see which pages are visited and whether a request is submitted, so we can improve the site. It loads only after the page itself has finished loading.

Visitors in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: until you allow the “Statistics” category, Google Analytics runs without cookies and without identifiers on your device (Google Consent Mode, analytics storage “denied”); only anonymous, aggregated measurement pings are sent. If you allow statistics, the cookies _ga and _ga_NPLWSCMB3B (each up to 2 years) are set to tell visits apart. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG) for cookies; our legitimate interest in anonymous reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for the cookieless pings.

Visitors from other countries: Google Analytics runs with the cookies named above unless you choose “Reject”. After “Reject” it only continues without cookies and without identifiers on your device (anonymous, aggregated measurement).

In the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, choosing “Reject” switches Google Analytics off completely. Google does not log or store IP addresses for users in the EU. Data may be processed by Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

5. Marketing

We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. Should this change, they will only be set after your explicit consent and this policy will be updated first.

6. Third-party content

Pages may embed a Google Maps link (opens in a new tab; nothing is loaded on our page) and DHL tracking links. We do not embed third-party scripts before consent.

7. Managing cookies

Change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working, but you will be asked again. Google Consent Mode signals are set to “denied” until you consent.

8. Contact

Questions about cookies or data protection: [email protected]. Controller: Astropel International Consulting B.V., Jarmuiden 27K, 1046 AC Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
