Terms of service (AGB)

Last updated: September 28, 2026

1. Scope and provider

These terms govern the use of the Notaryzer platform operated by Astropel International Consulting B.V., Jarmuiden 27K, 1046 AC Amsterdam, the Netherlands (“Notaryzer”, “we”). They apply to consumers and businesses.

2. Our services

Notaryzer provides preparation, coordination and logistics services: checking your documents, preparing the file, scheduling signings, coordinating with independent notaries, court-sworn translators and authorities, obtaining apostilles and legalisations, and delivering results by email or courier.

We do not perform notarial acts and do not provide legal advice. Notarial acts are performed by independent notaries under the law applicable to them; a separate contract is concluded between you and the notary. We cannot guarantee that a notary accepts a file or that a recipient authority accepts a document.

3. Conclusion of contract

Submitting a request on the website is a non-binding enquiry. After our identity verification you receive a written quote. The contract is concluded when you accept the quote (by confirming in writing or paying the service fee).

Every request is reviewed by the independent notary, who decides whether and how it can be fulfilled. We may decline a request without giving reasons before a quote has been accepted; nothing is charged in that case.

4. Prices and payment

Our service fees are stated including statutory VAT. Notary and authority fees and shipping costs are shown separately in the quote and passed through without markup; the notary may invoice you directly.

Service fees are due before the notary or translator starts. Accepted payment methods are stated in the quote.

5. Your duties

You must provide genuine, complete and legible documents and truthful information, be reachable by email, and send originals by tracked mail where required. Delays caused by missing documents or unreachable customers extend the estimated turnaround.

6. Turnaround times

Stated turnaround times are estimates based on typical processing by notaries, translators and authorities. They are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

7. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal (see Withdrawal policy). If you expressly request that we begin before the withdrawal period ends, you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (§ 356(4) BGB).

8. Money-back guarantee

If the independent notary cannot certify your document for reasons not attributable to you, we refund our service fee in full. Statutory fees already incurred and shipping costs are excluded.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability for the content of notarial acts or translations rests with the respective professional.

10. Final provisions

Dutch law applies. For consumers, mandatory consumer protection of their country of residence remains unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for businesses is Amsterdam. Contract language is English or German as chosen in the request.

Notaryzer is a private service provider, not a notary and not a public authority. Notarial acts are performed by independent notaries; translations by court-sworn translators.
