Legal validity

Yes. Every notarial act is performed by an independent notary under the law that applies to that notary. Notaryzer prepares the file, coordinates the signing or postal exchange and handles delivery – it does not perform the act itself.

Yes. Add an apostille (recognised in the 120+ Hague Convention states) or, for other countries, embassy legalisation. Both can be bundled with a sworn translation in one request.

A PDF signed with a qualified electronic signature is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature in the EU. Some authorities still insist on paper – tell us where the document goes and we advise you.

Process

Sworn translations, apostilles and certified copies (original by post) are fully remote. Signature certifications, powers of attorney and deeds are signed in front of the notary – we organise the signing for you.

Your request goes to the notary or sworn translator as soon as your identity is confirmed – there is no queue or waiting list. Most certifications and translations are finished within a few working days, and express handling is available. Apostilles and legalisations depend on the issuing authority. You see the expected completion date on your status page as soon as your request is confirmed.

No. Your personal status link and email updates replace an account.

Yes – reply to any of our emails quoting your reference.

Identity

You verify your identity with your phone: scan the QR code, photograph your ID document and take a selfie – it takes about three minutes. Our team then checks your ID document against the form. The legally required identification is performed by the notary, who decides how it takes place.

A valid passport or national ID card. The notary tells you after the review whether anything else is needed.

Pricing

Our service fee is shown before you start. Notary and authority fees are listed separately in your written quote – passed through without markup.

After your identity verification you receive a written quote. Nothing is charged before that. Payment by card, SEPA or bank transfer; the notary’s own invoice can be paid directly to the notary.

If the independent notary cannot certify your document, we refund our service fee in full.

Delivery

As a PDF on your protected status page and/or as the original by tracked DHL shipping, worldwide.

By tracked mail or courier to the address on your status page. We return everything with DHL and add the tracking number to your status page.

Translation

Sworn or certified translators for the respective language pair and destination. They sign and stamp the translation; digitally as a QES PDF or on paper.

Per page (max. 250 words), depending on the language tier. Standard certificates often have flat prices. You receive the final price before work starts.

Data

Encrypted at rest, never sent as email attachments, deleted after the retention period. ID scans are removed as soon as the check is complete.

Only the staff handling your request and the notary or translator assigned to it. Every access is logged.
