An apostille can only be issued in the country where the document was issued. For a document from Mauritius that means Mauritius’s designated authority; no other country can apostille it. We coordinate the submission in Mauritius, the notary reviews your application first, and the document is returned with the apostille – by courier or, where Mauritius issues electronic apostilles, as a verified PDF.
Typical requests from Mauritius concern banking, residence and corporate structures. English documents are accepted.
Authority fee: 100Rs / 500Rs (see communiqué of the Prime Minister's Officer, available here ) (official fee, passed through 1:1 in your quote)

Apostille in Mauritius: questions
Under Article 6 of the Convention Mauritius has designated: Apostille Section, Defence and Home Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Office. The notary reviews your application and we route the document to the right office.
In all Contracting States except Kosovo: an Article 12 objection is in force between them, so documents for these states need consular legalisation instead. Non-Convention countries (for example the UAE, Qatar, Egypt) always need legalisation.
The authority’s fee listed with the HCCH: 100Rs / 500Rs (see communiqué of the Prime Minister's Officer, available here ). Official fees are passed through 1:1 and shown separately from Notaryzer’s service fee in your written quote; nothing is charged before you accept.
The apostille itself is standardised and accepted without translation. The document is in English or French; most recipients abroad want a sworn or certified translation into their language, which we add in the same order.
The Convention has been in force for Mauritius since March 12, 1968.
