An apostille can only be issued in the country where the document was issued. For a document from New Zealand that means New Zealand’s designated authority; no other country can apostille it. We coordinate the submission in New Zealand, the notary reviews your application first, and the document is returned with the apostille – by courier or, where New Zealand issues electronic apostilles, as a verified PDF.

Typical requests from New Zealand concern skilled-migration visas and professional registration. English documents are accepted; NZ issues electronic apostilles.

Authority fee: NZ$32 for the initial apostille and $15 for any subsequent apostilles that are received with the same request (official fee, passed through 1:1 in your quote)

Where an apostille from New Zealand is not enough

No Contracting State has an objection in force against New Zealand: the apostille is accepted in every other Convention country. Non-Convention countries (UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Iraq …) still require consular legalisation.
