An apostille can only be issued in the country where the document was issued. For a document from Iceland that means Iceland’s designated authority; no other country can apostille it. We coordinate the submission in Iceland, the notary reviews your application first, and the document is returned with the apostille – by courier or, where Iceland issues electronic apostilles, as a verified PDF.
Typical requests from Iceland concern employment and residence. EEA but not EU, so Regulation 2016/1191 does not apply – civil-status documents need the apostille.
