Oman has applied the Hague Apostille Convention since January 30, 2012. Public documents from other Convention countries – civil-status certificates, diplomas, police certificates, notarial deeds, court decisions and company documents – are accepted in Oman with an apostille from the issuing country, unless an Article 12 objection is in force between the two states. No embassy or consular step is required.

Typical requests for Oman concern employment visas, healthcare licensing and commercial registration. Authorities in Oman generally expect documents in Arabic or English; where a document is not bilingual, we add a sworn translation, and for several countries the translator’s signature is apostilled as well. Oman is a Convention party, so no embassy step is needed; Arabic translations are often requested for ministries.

Notaryzer handles it end to end: the notary reviews your application, we organise the apostille or legalisation in the issuing country, arrange the translation and ship the result to you or directly to the recipient in Oman.
