Foreign authorities frequently require personal declarations: a single-status affidavit for marriage, a parental consent for a child’s travel or passport, an affidavit of support for a visa, a renunciation of inheritance, a declaration of residence or a statement of non-employment for a pension fund. All of these are private documents that become usable abroad through the same chain – notary, apostille, sworn translation.

Notaries in most countries certify signatures on declarations in any language; where the recipient wants a specific format (US affidavits, Turkish taahhütname, Spanish declaración jurada, Russian заявление), we prepare bilingual texts in advance. Sworn declarations can also be notarised as deeds and apostilled.

For consulates that only accept their own template, we check the template with you before the notary appointment so that the signing happens once.

Also known as: Erklärungen / eidesstattliche Versicherung (DE) · attestation sur l’honneur / déclaration (FR) · declaración jurada (ES) · dichiarazione sostitutiva / atto notorio (IT) · declaração (PT) · taahhütname / beyanname (TR) · oświadczenie (PL) · verklaring (NL)
